Questions

Hello Richard,
Really miss the classes, was fun working with you on the blog.
I have a question: Since I have various blogs, I wanted to have one private (Rockets of Desire) and the three others public. Somehow I cannot get it right. "Rockets of Desire" shows in the class blog, and "All is Well - Life is g\Good "doesn't. Guess I am not doing something right so maybe you can help me with this?
Thanks and enjoy your evening.
Silvia

  1. Hi Silvia -- I'm glad to see you're keeping your blogs updated.

Regarding your question, my guess is that I confused the issue with one of the gadgets on the Class blog. If what you are looking at are the links under "Class Members' Blogs" in the right column... that is a "Links Gadget" that I manually set up from earlier posts you and others made. One can put a link to any website or blog here. Since it's completely manual, there's no checking about what you want to show up.

I think things are actually working the way you want. First, if I click on the Rockets of Desire link (under Class Members' Blogs), I see "This blog is open to invited users only." So you've secured it from public viewing.

Second, when I click on your profile, the blogs I see are: Silvia's Real Estate, All Is Well-Life Is Good, Silvia's Corner, and the SBCC class blog. The class blog appears because you are an "author" for that blog. I do NOT see Rockets on your profile (you have successfully blocked it from showing up).

By the way, I also see a second Silvia's Real Estate (http://silvia-cogginscorner.blogspot.com/) with nothing in it. It's probably the first one you started and then abandoned. You can delete that one if you want.

Finally, I see Steve's Restaurant Review under "Blogs I follow."

If you are seeing something different, try signing out first. If you are logged in, it will give you privileged access to things the public can't see.

Bottom line, it looks to me to be working as you wanted. Does this answer your question?

    Richard
